Anyway, so with regards to Black Friday, you want to make sure that you list everyone (just kind of like what we were talking about with Christmas last week.)
- You want to list everyone.
- You want to decide on your budget (without using credit)
- And you want to stick to it.
Don't let the excitement of the season sway you when you go into the store. You want to just hold strong and make sure that you stick to your guns.
If you go in prepared and you start preparing now, then you will be ready to go. You'll be like, “I know this is what I'm going to do” and “This is how I'm going to do it.” You'll be ready, and you'll have your list and everything will be just be great. Just don't go crazy.
Try to save, as we talked about last week on “Trying to save for your Christmas budget,” (starting now) so that you can have that money ahead of time and you're not stressing out over it, you're not struggling with it, you're not having to use your credit card. Remember experiences over things?
But also discuss with your family: Parents, grandparents, gift giving expectations, brothers, siblings, sisters, etc., so that no one's feelings are hurt when you make adjustments to your spending budget of what you're going to purchase for other people.
Because, you know, if you’ve been doing this and you've like, “Oh, I've been doing this for like six years, and we've been doing $100 a person” or whatever, it can get out of control, and then you carry that debt into the next year and then you're still paying it off.
Just share with everyone what you want to plan for the season and then with that, you just get ready for Black Friday.
I hope that I've inspired you to create a budget for Black Friday. If you're going to be a shopper.
